operation nursery: paint and more paint

Since finding a fabric we loved for the nursery, we thought we found the perfect paint color to match. For the most part, Scott and I agreed that blue would work best, well it turned out we felt more like we were at the beach instead of our little one's nursery. Scott has worked extra hard to make this extra large canvas the perfect color and starting point for the nursery.
he primed the walls in preparation for the blue I picked out.

And this was the outcome of the color, we both felt like we were at a condo on the beach. Which is not such a bad thing, just not for our little girls room. We were hoping for something more soothing. So Scott was back at it again!
he primed AGAIN...
and the second time around we decided that blue might not have been the right choice so we changed colors all together and went with green.

We both LOVE the new color and how it turned out, the carpets were then steamed cleaned, it's ready for the next phase. Baby heath will soon enjoy daddy's hard and I know she will appreciate it just as much as I do. Thanks for all your hard work honey!!

rolling on 22's

at 22 weeks i am feeling pretty good for the most part. my energy is great but still enjoy an early bedtime. im just trying to figure out how my belly can possibly grow any bigger? i go to bed most night's feeling like im about to burst! baby heath is very active, fruits and sweets seem to be her favorite. she must likes sugar just like her daddy. i caught myself driving this morning, feeling my belly as she moved around and i had the biggest smile on my face. amazing!

say my name, say my name!!

decisions, decisions , the Heath family is working hard to determine the perfect name for our sweet little girl. im sure most of you know where i stand on this one but we would love the input of our friend's and family. i mean, we're not the only one's that will have to live with this life long decision. ha!

operation nursery

now that we know baby heath is going to be a girl, it's time to get started on one of my favorite things, decorating! since we have already completed the transition of the guest room/office the "nursery" has evolved into a storage room. we've had some very generous friends and family members already giving us a ton of things for this baby, i really had no idea they needed so much. so as we have received gifts, hand me downs or anything random without a specific home per say, it has been tossed in the "nursery". here is the before picture, scott has been working hard on clearing out the room, patching up holes and even primed the walls. all we need is paint, furniture, decor and voila, insert baby!

1 off the Bucket List

THE MASTERS
With the help of a wonderful brother in law I had the opportunity to experience The Masters practice round on Tuesday. To me and to everyone who has an appreciation for the game this is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been. Words, Television or pictures cant even describe the course and what it has to offer. I could write about it all day in with what I felt and saw out there but just wanted to post a few pics, keep it simple and not drag on. I highly encourage everyone to try and make it out there at some point in their lives. I can not thank John enough for this opportunity and will be forever paying him back....somehow!!

proud to be an American...

Scott and I spent the weekend in NY visiting with Britta + Andrew, they were amazing hosts. I have been several times but this was a first for Scott, we managed to squeeze in a ton in a matter of just a few short days. While on the trip Scott did a great job of capturing all of NYC, he has gotten really good with the camera. This by far, is my favortie picture of all 200, it gave me the chills for some reason, the flag, the city. It's one of those moments where I am truley so blessed and proud to live in America. (I know cheesy right?)

Here are a few more pics from the trip.
