it's getting hot in here (so hot)

It's going to be one hot summer and I think Princess totally agrees with me. I thought it had something to do with me being 32 weeks pregnant but nope, our little 7lbs chihuahua is having a hard time with the rising temps too. I see plenty of days at the pool in our future!

Here's to Scott who is an amazing dad to all of our sweet animals and soon to be father of our little girl, Averie Lane. Yep, Scott got his wish for father's day, to name our first child :)

I know he will be the most wonderful daddy a little girl could ask for.

And a special Happy Father's Day to our wonderful Father's, we are so thankful for everything you have given and taught us. We love you!

baby's bedding

We set out to find the perfect bedding for our baby girl however everything we stubbled across we didn't love. So we took it upon ourself to piece the bedding set together on our own and I could not be happier with the outcome. Here is how it all came together with a little help of my "sewing" skills.

We found fabric at an awesome fabric warehouse in North Carolina and I was able to make the crib skirt on my own with my "sewing machine", ha.

Added some velcro to the crib and back of the fabric pieces to hold it up around the crib.

We found a matching pink bumper at Pottery Barn Outlet and scored a major deal, originally $125 and purchased it for $25! Super cute polka dot sheets from babies r us along with a matching changing pad cover, I love polka dots!

And matching pink rug from target, only $20. TA DA! Here is the finishing product, I absolutely LOVE it! My mother is making a blanket and we will have a complete bedding set baby heath is sure to love + adore.

My Babies at 30!!

Here are my 2 ladies at 30 weeks and a day. Kelli is looking great and doing a great job carrying our little one. She has been a trooper with this whole thing. The hardest part I think is her not being able to fit into some of her favorite summer clothes. We both agree thats ok!! We wouldnt change it for the world. I am proud of her with all the changes that have gone on with her body with how positive and amazing she has been. I love you dear cant wait to meet our daughter.

Baby "no name," which we are getting closer to a name we think, is looking great. We had a redo of our 4d Ultrasound tonight and we got some good pics of her although she loves to put her hands in front of her face a lot. It really puts it more into perspective seeing her from face on vs on seeing the profile. Watching her move and smile put tears in our eyes. She is already so beautiful like her mommy!!!

We are looking forward to August!!!

Our new glider, we searched all around town for the absolute best deal and I think we got it. Can't wait to rock our baby girl in it!! Scott thinks a flat screen is necessary and he would rock her all day/night long. I don't think so dear!! :)
